Born Free and Equal
Born Free & Equal was a book created to visually interpret the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. Published in Japan, with the intent to inspire and enhance awareness about this important document.
It is in over 200 library collections in Japan as well as university collections,the New York Public Library, and the International Center of Photography.
The bilingual title begins the opening statement of the U.N.Declaration, “All human beings” in Japanese and completes in English,
"are born free and equal". BFE was photographed in 40 countries.
